This is my loom in Sovana.
It was constructed from oak and cherry wood
more than 100 years ago
and was originally used for weaving hemp fibre towels and sheets.
It was later modified and adapted
to make it more efficient and less cumbersome.
It has 4 shaft and 8 treadles.
I can weave fabrics up to 90 cm in width.
To weave larger fabrics,
